The Woodlands, TX(January 5, 2010) -- When the 2009 UARA-STARS Series season started back in March, most people didn't know who Brennan Poole was, but by the time the season was over with there were people talking about this talented young driver everywhere.

Poole from the suburbs of Houston, Texas transplanted himself to North Carolina this season after a deal to run in the ASA Late Model Series fell apart just before the season started. His season was a roller coaster ride as he started off solid, but unlucky and then hit a quick win in a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series sanctioned race at Tri-County Motor Speedway. From there he hit a streak of bad

performances, before another NASCAR sanctioned race at Hickory Motor Speedway, the Dwight Huffman Memorial changed the young drivers season around.

Quickly he began turning in top ten finishes in the UARA-STARS tour before clicking off a top five finish and taking control of Rookie of the Year standings. It was then that the young driver turned in the performance of a lifetime as he lead laps as a rookie and finished third in the biggest annual Late Model Stock Car race, the Bailey's 300 at Martinsville Speedway. It was there that Poole became a household name, but he also continued to improve his rookie effort in the UARA-STARS Series races that followed including a second place finish in the season finale.

When the season was over many people had wondered what Poole's plans for the 2010 season were and while there were rumors swirling around everywhere, Poole has decided to return to Fat Head Racing. It's an effort to try and keep the momentum that they had built during the 2009 campaign where he finished eighth overall in points and won the coveted Rookie of the Year award.

While many teams have been simply preparing their cars for another season of racing, Poole and the Fat Head Racing team have been busy preparing brand new Marlowe Racing Chassis' as well as refreshing their Kevin Blanks powerplants. Also, Poole and the team have been doing a little testing, trying to work on new technology and work on getting Poole even more experience behind these heavy Late Model Stock Cars.

"We've been building some new cars and working on all of our program from head to toe," said Fat Head Racing owner, Jamie Yelton. "With Brennan returning to the team for the 2010 season, we've got to work hard, because he wants to win the UARA championship and so do we. Brennan's talent shined last year and we really want to do everything we can to give him the best cars possible and as much track time as possible."

Poole's testing program will continue throughout the early months of 2010 as he hopes to get behind the wheel of the new car and get used to some new setups and continue to work on building a championship winning effort.

"We want to win the UARA championship, that's our goal," said Poole. "We set out to win the Rookie of the Year award last year and we accomplished that and if we would have had this kind of time to test these cars, we would have been part of the championship points battle as well. Jamie(Yelton) and David(King) have a great program here and I think we can win races and the championship this season, but I know the series is going to be tough."

Poole and the Fat Head Racing team are doing the off season hard work, they preparing for a full throttle run at the UARA-STARS Series championship and coming off a great second half of the 2009 season, Poole looks to be one of the drivers in the thick of the points battle in 2010.
